Activites at Fretzpark Homes

Sometimes jobs, friends and activities have to be created and presented in a manner that is acceptable to our individuals. Our staff will work diligently to maintain current activities, in addition to creating new and exciting community adventures that will provide a variety of entertainment for each individual served to choose from. Each individual will be given opportunities to participate in the cultural activities of their choice and/or belief if they so choose. Choices will include weekly outings such as: swimming, visits to the library, movies, bowling, the zoo, and seasonal events, such as concerts and theaters in the park.

Residents will be encouraged to maintain a healthy way of living to include eating and exercise. The weekly schedule will give each individual served an opportunity to participate in a wide range of physical activities if they so choose. The PC will have information regarding community centers, YMCA, and community fitness centers to provide alternatives for physical activities and will assist service recipients in obtaining a membership and/or scholarship if they so choose. Suggestions will be taken from individuals, their families, and staff when searching for a variety of community inclusion options for individuals we serve to choose from.

During the holidays FPH will adopt a family in need in hopes that our contribution will make a difference in the life a Oklahoma family in need, families and individuals served will have the option of taking part and donating items if they choose. FPH believes that communication is the key to success, and will work diligently with service recipients and their families to ensure that they remain informed at all times, and give them every opportunity to participate. To ensure each consumer and their families are kept up to date on current activities as well as upcoming events, a monthly newsletter will be generated. FPH's goal is to have 100% participation in all activities offered. We believe it will create a family type atmosphere for service recipients as well as staff and allow for the development of relationships whether it is an existing relationship or a brand new one.

All Fretzpark activities will be offered to the individuals we serve, however participation will be on the individual basis and not a requirement.
